When you think of Africa and safaris, the first country that comes to mind is probably Kenya. Kenya is a country in East Africa with a coastline on the Indian Ocean. Neighbouring countries include Ethiopia and Somalia to the north and north-east, Uganda to the west and Tanzania to the south. The country is home to some very surreal and dreamlike landscapes: a palm-fringed coastline on the Indian Ocean, the Great Rift Valley, the vast forests and lone trees standing tall and proud in the savannah. Kenya is famous for its abundant wildlife and the annual Great Migration, but also for its capital, Nairobi, the most cosmopolitan city in East Africa and the beating heart of the country.

Kenya's people also add depth and resonance to the country's appeal; the Maasai, the Samburu, the Turkana, the Swahili: these are just a few examples of the forty different African ethnic groups that tell the stories of this ancient country and keep its traditions alive. Some of them wear bright red clothes and wear many bracelets, bringing soul and colour to this land.
